Last month, six of simulation cricket's leading teams, met to discuss the logistics of the Simulation Cricket World Cup (SCA World Cup).

Since then, scheduling has been organised, while work is well underway on an online portal for the event, to be staged between January and February of next year.

Teams have begun their preparation already, with the likes of Sitepoint.com and Zcultfm.com trying out new players, to assist selectors finalize a squad of up to fifteen players.

Banglacricket.com, who haven't played an international fixture since January 31, 2006, are also beginning their preparation, having just completed a domestic club cricket season, and organising a Test match against Saintsational.com, with a tri-series involving the two teams and Webhostingtalk.com likely to follow.

The SCA World Cup promises to be a fantastic event, let the countdown begin!
