Webhostingtalk.com: Finished on top of Group A with 9 points, meaning they won every game they played, with the bonus point. Considered only an outside chance at the beginning of the tournament, expected to come 4th, Webhostingtalk.com would now be considered strong favourites to win, and are expected to beat Sitepoint.com in their semi-final encounter.

CricketMX.com: Finishing second in Group A with 6 points, the two games they won, they won comprehensively. Expected to come 3rd prior to the World Cup, that still seems an accurate ranking. Despite MensaP2P.com losing by a large margin to Sitepoint.com, they are expected to bounce back in the semi-finals and make life tough for CricketMX.com.

Sitepoint.com: Group B was very tight throughout the entire group stage. Despite MensaP2P.com and Banglacricket.com also finishing on 5 points, Banglacricket.com didn't progress due to the fact they have had just the 1 victory, compared to MensaP2P.com and Sitepoint.com's 2. Much of the teams unlikely success (prior to the World Cup, they were predicted to come 6th) can be attributed to Young Twig, the star batsman who was out of the game for over 6 months. Since his return, he has scored 182 runs at 45.50, and has scored two fifties. Only DigitaL, with 168 runs at 33.60 comes near matching Young Twig's returns this World Cup.

MensaP2P.com: The wildcard in the 2007 World Cup, nobody had seen MensaP2P.com play before, excluding Imagine_If's appearances for BalladP2P.com. The team has been good, but not spectacular. They haven't really been challenged chasing down targets of 96 and 201. They are expected to defeat CricketMX.com in the semi-final match, but chasing a large total could be MensaP2P.com's downfall.
